   Mmnyay! :3

                                                                                          ~*~*~

After everything with Izzy was settled, it was back to the original four. They were up to their own devices, without Loden's friends for once in a long time now. Loden herself was glad it was just them- things were a lot easier, however odd that may sound, when it was only them. She thought that if she came across anymore of her old friends she would have to move to London with Slash and change her phone number. As she was relaxing in the front seat, while Zoe drove, the thing she had been dreading since that morning happened- her phone rang.

Nikki stared warily at her pocket for a second. "God damn, you really need to turn that thing off," he said. "Yeah, I know," Loden replied, taking...it...out of her back pocket and turning it off. "Phew," Slash said. Zoe sighed with relief. "I think it's better with just the four of us, eh?" Nikki said. Loden nodded. Slash leaned forward a little and tapped Loden on the head. "Yesss, dar-link?" she said. She heard him moving a little, and then a Nine Inch Nails CD appeared on the console. "Yay!" Zoe said. Loden picked up the CD around the edges and inserted it, turning up the volume. Closer blasted out of the speakers. Nikki tapped his foot and drummed his fingers on the door armrest. Slash bobbed his head. Zoe leaned over a little, keeping her eyes on the road. "They're already enjoying themselves," she whispered. Nikki kept a small smile back. "I heard that," he said. Loden sighed. Slash tapped her on the head again. Her eyes rolled upwards at his hand. She could barely see his fingertips. "Hmm?" she asked, reaching up. "Change it," he said. Closer had ended and she hadn't even noticed. His hand was still there. Loden grabbed it and pulled.

"Ow," he said. "What was that for?" Loden giggled. "Take it back next time. You should know I don't like things hovering over my head," she said. He poked her again. She snatched his hand, tugged on it, and then let it go. Finally, the fourth time, Slash poked his hand around the side of her seat. She spied it, waited, grabbed his hand and bit it. "Owww," he whined. "What did I tell you?" she said, this time reaching her hand behind and groping for his leg. She found it, and put her hand on his knee so it reached around both sides and tickled the nerves. He jerked it sharply. "Sensitive, sensitive!" Zoe half-grinned. "Stop that before I hit something, it's distracting," she said. Nikki had sat there the whole time, watching Loden and Slash go back and forth, a little like cats watching tennis on TV. "Freaks," he said. "Shut up, Mr. Fifty in Six Days," Loden said. Nikki's jaw dropped. And then he was silent, pouting. "No worries, you look hot still," Zoe said. He gave a smug look. "And people think you look gay," he said to Slash. "I would think you were gay too, had you not been a rock star, wearing as much make up as you do," Slash retorted. "Bite me," Nikki said. "No thanks," Slash said. "Enough, you two," Zoe said. And they were silent.

"So what's this blues place you two were talking about?" Loden asked, changing the subject. Their new nickname. 'You Two.' Slash sniggered. "This place down town, that's been there for years...called the Orange House...us two used to sit around a lot..." Nikki said, nodding. "Uhh...did you say Orange House?" Loden said. "Yeah. Why?" Slash said. "That place...got bombed...the other day..."  Zoe said. "WHAT?!" Slash and Nikki said at the same time. "Don't spazz, they're cleaning it all up and building a new one!" Loden said. "But...but...but...!" Slash stuttered. The two grown men struggled the urge to throw a fit.

          Haha.

"At least two of us stay awake for the news," Zoe said, pulling into the mansion driveway. "But that...c'mon, that's not...did it really burn down?" Nikki said. "Mhm," Loden said. They sat in the car for a minute, contemplating this. And then they got out.

As Loden and Zoe headed upstairs to relax, and the boys sat on the couch, they looked at each other. Even though neither spoke, they knew they were thinking the same thing.

            How did we know?

Children of Rock: Shooting Stars

Over breakfast, which consisted of eggs, bacon and toast, the five- Izzy included this time- discussed why Ceci had showed up in the first place. Izzy had heard the whole thing. She'd been in the kitchen with Zoe when the screaming started. "Hot damn, you two were fighting like a bunch of wildcats," Izzy shook her head. "I wish I coulda just stayed in bed." Zoe nodded in a agreement. "Sorry, she pissed me off," Loden shrugged, raising an eyebrow. "That was kind of obvious," Nikki pointed out. "I'm glad you tried something," Loden said greatfully, "but it didn't work." Nikki shrugged. "And you," he said, shooting a look over at Slash, "slipping in like that and just saying her name! How do you get her to back off like that?" Slash thought for a second. "Dunno. It was just the first thing that came to mind. She listened, didn't she?" He gazed over at Loden, who was deep in conversation about Ceci's bitchiness with Zoe and Izzy. Nikki nodded, his hair bouncing. Glancing over at the girls, he saw that Loden had dissapeared. "Where'd she go?" he raised an eyebrow questioningly. Zoe pointed to the door. "Outside," she said. They heard a cry of frustration from outside. "Ehh?" Nikki looked over at the door Zoe had pointed to.

Loden walked back in, her heels stepping on the bottoms of her pajama legs. "It started raining," she pouted. The other four stopped and listened. They heard the rain thrumming steadily, but heavily, on the roof. "Damn...the forecast never said anything about rain," Zoe said. "The forecast must die," Izzy said. Loden nodded. "It was perfectly fine earlier," Nikki said. "I don't get it." "Stupid bitch spent the last minutes of nice weather wasting our time," Loden mumbled angrily. Slash shot her a worried look. She perked up in an instant. "There goes our plans for the day," Zoe said. "Plans?" Izzy and Loden chorused. "Uhh...nevermind," Nikki said, waving it away. Loden "mmphed" in reply to his gesture. "Well, this sucks," Slash said. It was the first word he'd spoken since Nikki's request. The Loden remembered what plans they had been talking about. "Aww...no more plans," she brooded. Slash nodded. "Those plans," he said. Zoe sighed sadly. The rain was coming down harder. "Well, it's still nice out," Loden said, "I like rain." The other four nodded. Nikki stared down at his empty coffee mug. Slash fidgeted. Zoe and Izzy murmured quietly with each other. Loden was thinking, up in her own little world. When the phone rang, all five jumped simultaneously. Slash was closest to one of the phones. He leaned back in his chair and fumbled around for it, then picked it up.

"Que?" he said. "Loden please," a girlish voice said from the other line. "What is with you and your friends this week?" Slash said, handing the phone to Loden, who shrugged. She put the phone to her ear and scurried upstairs. "Hellooo?" she said. "Lodennnn?" the girlish voice said. "Umm...what?" she said confusedly. "It's Maddie," the other girl said sadly. "OMG, how did you get Nikki's number?!" she said. "Izzy," Loden imagined Maddie nodding like she did at the Prep in ninth grade. "Yay," Loden squeaked happily on her side of the world. "So...you live in Van Nuys?" Maddie said. "No...we're just boarding until this whole engagement leak is cleaned up," Loden said. "Engagement?" Again, Loden imagined one of her best friends with wide, sparkling eyes on the other line. "To who, to who?" Maddie asked excitedly. "Do you have a cellular tel-ie-phone ye-e-e-e-t?" Loden asked in sing-song tone. "Yus," Maddie replied. "I send you pictures of us then," Loden nodded. They were talking like they used to in fifth grade. There was silence for a little bit. "Aw...I gotta go...make sure you text me those pictures. This IS my cell phone number," Maddie said. "Okay...I heart you," Loden said. "Ditto!" Maddie squealed. "Bye-e-e-e-e," Loden hung up. She leaned on the wall. And then started giggling. Nikki poked his head around the door. "What's with the giggling?" he asked. "Oh, hehe, nothing," Loden said. "Can you bring my cell phone over here real quick?" she asked, still giggling a little. "Sure," Nikki gave her a sideways look. He turned, and was back in a second. He threw her cell at her. She caught it. "Thank you," she called as he walked out again. Loden quickly texted Maddie three pictures of her and Slash. She had lots more proof in case Maddie thought those were photoshopped, because Loden had been a well-known PS when she was in high school.

                  More history later...

                                                                                       ~*~*~

The rain had not stopped a few hours later. The five still sat around the table, trying to figure out what they would do. It simply wasn't fun when they weren't doing anything. Loden was preoccupied with texting Maddie back and forth and talking with the others. Suddenly, Nikki's face brightened up. "You know, there's a little place not far from here..." Slash caught on to what he was talking about in two seconds. He gave Nikki a sideways look and a half-grin. "Where we can hang out all day," Slash said. "With the coolest bands," Nikki said. "And the greatest drinks," Slash returned. "And you know what it's called..." Nikki said. "The Blues Palace!" Nikki and Slash chorused. The girls giggled. "How far?" Loden asked. "Just two miles," Nikki said. Izzy groaned. "I gotta hit the road, can you just drop me off at the restaraunt?" she asked. Nikki nodded. "You left your car there?" Zoe asked. Izzy nodded. "Damn," Nikki sighed. Loden's phone buzzed angrily at her. She tilted her head at it. "Now who would be calling at this hour on a Saturday morning?" she said, picking it up. "Orange County Medical Office," she said. "Uhh...is Loden there?" a man's voice asked. "This is her," Loden said. Nikki let his head drop to the table, which made a clunking sound. Loden raised an eyebrow at him. "What's up with you?" she asked him. "Um...nothing," he said. She rolled her eyes and went back to her call. "Yeah, this is Loden...who's this?" she asked. The male on the other line grunted. "Your father," he muttered. "What the fuck?!" she said, dropping the phone like a dead insect. Nikki and Zoe started laughing. Izzy kept her fit of giggles silent. Loden stared at the phone and then picked it up.

"I want proof," Loden demanded. "You want proof?! Look at the cell phone number!" her "dad" said. She did. What the shit? It was her father's old cell phone number. "I want an explaination, right fucking now. Why the hell haven't you called me before? How the frick did you LOSE contact with your own family?!" Loden asked angrily. Nikki scooted in closer. "After your mother adopted that 'rockstar' Nikki Sixx," her dad mumbled, "My reaction was to not call her at all and it ended up I never called you for almost nine years." Nikki glared at the phone with clenched teeth. "Fuck you," he muttered. "What was that?" Loden's dad's alertness was suddenly alarmed. "The 'rockstar' Nikki Sixx," Loden growled. Silence from the other end. "WHAAAAAAAAT?!!!!" The five sitting around the table all jumped. "My brother," Loden said. "IMPOSSIBLE! YOUR MOTHER WAS JUST SHOWING OFF! HOW DID SHE ACTUALLY MANAGE TO ADOPT HIM?!" Loden set the phone down as her father ranted loudly on the other line. "Why can't you just shut up?" Loden sighed. "Because I'm your older brother, and I have to annoy you," Nikki replied. "Loden? Loden?" It sounded like their father had finally calmed down. "Yes, dear dad?" Loden said, her words coated with sugar. "Are you SURE that was...him?" he asked. "Yes, dad. He's sitting right next to me. You want proof? Because I can give you proof. And lots of it. You want proof?" she replied. "Only if you-" he was cut off as Loden handed the phone to Nikki who said "Hello stepfather," cheerfully. Loden could see her dad twitching on his end of the line. "I told you, I have proof. And there's more where that came from. Oh yes, lots more. You want it? Cuz you can have it. I don't need it. I have all the proof I'll ever need sitting right next to me," she said. Again, silence.

"Uh-huh. I thought so. Shall I talk to you later, father?" Loden said. Her father replied with a weak "yeah." Loden hung up. Nikki was sniggering like a madman next to her. She hit him lightly on the shoulder. "Shut up," she said. Slash, Zoe, and Izzy all watched them messing around like a real brother and sister on their side of the table. Then, Zoe started giggling. Izzy joined in. Slash sat, watching them with a grin he couldn't- wouldn't- wipe off his face.

And that was the end of that.

RENT! RENT! RENT! xD Here we go!

                                                                                      ~*~*~

Loden woke up a bit earlier in the morning. She slipped out of bed, letting Izzy sleep. Walking downstairs, she found Nikki was awake too. "Ohayo, aniki," she said, sliding into the chair next to him. "Morning," he mumbled. "Where's Zoe?" Loden asked. Nikki nodded his head to his room, which made the hair hanging in his eyes sway. "And Slash?" he countered. "You didn't notive the snoring mound on the couch?" Loden raised an eyebrow. "Ahh," he nodded. "I thought he was just a balled up blanket. He blends in too much," he finished. Loden grinned. Wait a second here. They're not fighting.

           Odd.

            Well, continuing...

"Why are you up so early, anyways?" Nikki asked, tilting his head. Loden put her head down on the table, sighing. "Couldn't sleep. Figured what's the point of sleeping if you can't catch it?" Nikki's eyebrows wavered. "Too used to sleeping with your fi-an-ce?" he grinned. "Pretty much. That and Izzy snores like an elephant sometimes." Nikki snorted, sniggering. "Why you still in your jammies? You're usually dressed," Loden said. Nikki shrugged in return. "Just feel lazier than usual...I guess..." he said. There was a bang on the door.

"What the hell..." Loden got up. "Let me get it," Nikki said. Loden shook her head. She walked to the front door, opening it. A young lady stood in front of her. "Err...Nikki, you know this gal?" Loden turned around. The girl's eyes were cold. Her face was twisted. She glared at Loden with the utmost hatred. Nikki stood up behind Loden. Then he froze. "So this is your new girlfriend?" the woman hissed at Nikki. Nikki looked at Loden. "Um, no...she's just uh...my...cousin. Cousin. She's my cousin." He shoved Loden away from the door. "You bastard. So you abandon me for years like this, just, out on my own? I'm your younger sister for God's sake! I should know who the hell you're marrying!" The girl who claimed to be Nikki's sister said. "Ceci...I...can...explain...?" Nikki's comment was more of a question then anything else. "Ceci? Ceci? What? She didn't KNOW?" Loden pushed her way back. "Know what?" Nikki froze.

"Admit it, don't be afraid of this pussy," Loden said to him. "You're the shortest whore I've ever met," Ceci glared at her. "You seem to speak a foreign language," Loden said. Nikki tried to work out a way to stop this fight, when his former younger sister gave him a gift -- a hard slap right across the face, which left a red mark. "You skank!" Loden said. She stepped up. "Loden, get away from Ceci..." Nikki tried to pull her away. "Hey, I think your fiance is awake...!" Ceci shook her head and clucked. "Excuses, excuses," she said. "Excuses my ass, you fucking douchebag," Loden snarled, "You're the one that showed up to slap my brother and start a fight."

"Brother? You son of a bitch!" Ceci delivered another sound smack to Nikki. "Stop it! I don't exactly enjoy this!" he said. "You're not supposed to!" Ceci hissed. "Get the fuck off my brother's back, you pillow-humping ass," Loden snarled. She stepped closer to Ceci. Granted, she had to stand up a lot straighter and get on her toes to glare her straight in the eye. "Stay away from this house, away from this family, and away from anything that has to do with it, because the only things you're going to be hearing about us is from a newspaper," she hissed, low and dangerous. "Oh really? Try me, short stuff," Ceci hissed right back. And Loden did. She kicked her in the stomach. "Loden!" Nikki lunged at her. "Dammit, stay away from me!" Loden charged at Ceci again as she was preparing to counter the attack. She punched her in the chest, which knocked the breath out of Loden. Regardless, she got back up, flailed a bit, and started attacking Ceci ninja style.

The screaming and cat-fighting continued for a few minutes while Nikki was trying to part them when Slash stumbled into the hallway. "The hell is going on out here?" he asked, rubbing sleep out of his eyes. Then he realised what was going on. "Loden." She froze. The clear note of his voice caught her attention. Ceci had stopped struggling too, but she was stuck under Loden. Loden could be surprisingly strong, even if she wasn't paying attention to whatever she was pinning down. "Yesss?" she got up, leaving Ceci trying to get up, failing miserably. "You're not supposed to be beating up the little kids," he said. "Sorry. I'm a bully by nature." She shrugged. "That's your fiance?" Ceci said airily. Loden turned. "Yep. Got a problem?" she said, coolly. "I just thought that you wouldn't be dating such a nigger. They shouldn't be playing guitar, you know," Ceci said, with a sly grin. Slash had to clench his teeth and hold his arms and legs stiff to keep from starting to give her a lesson-teaching "conversation."

"Don't you ever call him that again," Loden said coldly. "Maybe I should start calling you a Canadian Maple Leaf Whore, eh?" she imitated the Canadian accent. Ceci narrowed her eyes. "Take it back," she said. "Only if you take that nicker comment back," Loden replied. There was silence for a few minutes.

"Fine," Ceci said, turning, as if to surrender. "But you haven't seen the last of me." She left with those words, leaving the three Children to tilt their heads and wonder.

"Forget it," Loden said, like she was just brushing it off-- which she didn't normally do. "She's just a greedy bitch." Slash raised an eyebrow. "She's a weird one alright," Nikki mumbled, rubbing the tender red spot where Ceci had hit him. "Go put some ice on it, it'll numb the pain," Loden directed. And so off Nikki went. Which only left Slash and Loden. Loden had heard that Izzy and Zoe had gotten up already. She picked up their voices in the kitchen. They were talking quietly with Nikki. She sighed.

"Something wrong?" Slash asked. She shook her head. "Nope." He eyed her closely for a second or two. "You sure?" he asked. She turned to him and smiled. "Pretty sure," she said, getting up on her very tip-toes to give him a kiss.

"So why'd you sleep on the couch last night?" Loden tilted her head. He shrugged. "I didn't want to get up, that's all," he said. She nodded. "Okay...Izzy probably doesn't want to sleep in the bed again...she moved around a lot...she sounded uncomfortable. That means you can come back up to bed," she giggled. He grinned. "You," he said. Nikki poked his head in. "Breakfast!" he said. "Oh goodie, food, Loden scampered into the kitchen. Slash lingered, looking out the door for a second, thinking. Then he shut the door and padded after Loden.

Wonder what he was thinking about...

So I just got done with this season's logo...as soon as I can take piccies I will...it's sexy. xD Anyways, here we go again...

                                                                                  ~*~*~

Slash was soon left alone in the mansion. Loden had gone out with Zoe with some of their friends. Nikki was doing only God knows what. Someone called the house. He picked it up. "Hello?...What?...You're on your way home...Pooky? You never call me pooky..." Then he put down the phone. What the hell? Loden had just called him pooky bear. Was this supposed to mean something? Wait a second. "Loden, is something going on?...You seem to be speaking a foreign language...what?...No...no...The hell was that?...Oh, nothing, right, sure...hey, hey, don't get snappy on me...where are you again?" The minute he asked that question he knew something was wrong. Loden had stopped hissing at him. In fact, she was completely silent. Bad timing? There was a lot of noise and music in the background. "Hello...hun...Loden...?" The line went dead. He shook his head, hanging the phone up. "Probably got in trouble," he chuckled. But that was just a part of the reason why we would be crazy enough to love her...

                                                                                  ~*~*~

Actually, the manager was standing at the door, devastated at the sight of his customers and their friends dancing and singing like animals on his tables. But that was what they felt like...in a good way.

"Bisexuals, trisexuals, homosapiens, carsonagens, hallucinogens, men...Pee Wee Herman!" Loden sang, with Nikki himself accompanying her -- who had appeared because he had been kicked out of a place of some sorts, Tommy, who'd showed up with him, and Izzy -- Isabella Zimmerman, who appeared out of seemingly nowhere, a long-time but not been seen nor heard from in awhile best friend of Loden's, with a "Hey!" and a hug.

Nikki and Tommy were drunk as fuck. Never a good thing at a gig like this.

Pretty soon, the song was over. Some people were helping to clean up the restaraunt. Loden, Zoe, and Izzy couldn't, because they were in a...situation. Nikki had collapsed on top of Loden at the end of their "performance" and Loden couldn't get out from under him. Izzy was trying to help, but she had to be helped too because Tommy was gripping onto her ankles tightly, even though he had passed out along with Nikki, and Zoe was really trying very hard to get Tommy off of Izzy, and at the same time trying to figure out why the hell she had done this. But it had been fun, so, she guessed that kind of made up for it.

Nikki opened his eyes after a few more minutes of tugging. Unfortunately, he was so stoned that he had completely forgotten that Loden was his little sister. Instead, he saw her and whistled. Loden's eyes widened, and she struggled against his weight on her legs. She couldn't get them out because her pants were caught on something. "Izzy! A little faster!" Loden pulled. Her nails dug into the carpet. She pulled forward as best she could, but it didn't work. Nikki started twisting this way and that, trying to get up. Loden twitched at the way he looked at her. "HELP! I'm being sexually molested by my BROTHER!" She tried to curl up in a ball. No way was that going to happen. Nikki stopped, looking confused. "Brother?" he said, cocking his head. "Brother," Loden nodded, quivering. "Brother," Nikki sighed, letting his chin hit the ground. He stared at the table leg for a few moments. Then, as if it had been pulled like a trap, his drunk state of mind dissapated in a second.

He jerked upwards to his feet, staggering. "What the hell is happening?" he demanded, towering over Loden. She cowered. "Pleasepleasepleaseyou'remybrotherdon'thurtme!" she said. Zoe looked over. Loden hadn't noticed that he wasn't thinking stoned anymore. Izzy hadn't either, apparently, because she sidled away. Zoe sighed. "Nikki, get away from Loden," she called. Nikki's head snapped up. He wandered over to her. Loden looked up. She was still shaking a little. Izzy walked back over. Tommy layed sprawled on the floor. She stepped over him. "Hey, can I bunk at your place for awhile?" she asked. "I don't have anywhere to go, can't afford a hotel yet. Saving up for somethin', I dunno what yet." Loden nodded. "We've got plenty of room. And...I have a surprise for you when we get back to the mansion," she said. Izzy tilted her head. "Mansion? Surprise?" she said. Loden flashed her ring. "You'll see." Izzy's eyes widened. "Whoa, whoa, you're getting married?" she tagged along. Loden strolled out. She nodded. "To who?" Izzy asked. "I told you, you'll see," Loden giggled. She unlocked the car, calling to Zoe and Nikki. "You GUYS, come on!" she said. Zoe and Nikki walked out, smushing faces. "Can't drive like that," Loden said. "Holy shit!" Nikki jumped. Zoe stumbled. "Sorry," he said. Loden turned up 'Darling Nikki.' This version was by Apocalypse Hoboken. Izzy swayed her upper body a bit to the song.

"See ya at the mansion!" Loden backed out. Nikki and Zoe followed suit.

                                                                                  ~*~*~

"Holy shit!" Izzy said as Loden pulled into the driveway of the mansion. The tires of her metallic sand Scion TC crunched the gravel. Nikki and Zoe parked on either side. The Benz was in the second garage. "So...this is where you live?" Izzy said, hopping out of the TC. Loden shook her head. "I actually live in my fiance's mansion, near my college. We're just staying here for a while." Nikki, Zoe, Izzy, and Loden walked up the steps to the front door. Loden unlocked the door.

Inside, Slash heard the locks clicking. He turned the TV off, hid his Mac-- Loden would swipe it because she still hadn't found hers after Nikki hid IT-- and poked his head out from around the corner. He saw Izzy enter, nearly tripping in amazement at the grand enterance, followed by the other two. He stepped out. "And who might your friend be?" he inquired. Loden hugged him. "One of my best friends," she said. Izzy rubbed her eyes. Twice. "Is that who I THINK it is?" she asked with wide eyes. Loden nodded. "Surprise!" Slash said, in his high-pitched flamingly gay impression. Loden elbowed him in the ribs. "Okay, so, where's your fiance?" Izzy tilted her head. "I don't see him popping out and welcoming us." Loden looked around. "Izzy, Slash IS my fiance," Loden said. Nikki and Zoe were trying hard to keep from laughing aloud at Loden's friend's face. "Whaaaaat?!" Izzy cried. "Impossible! You're kidding. You must be feeding me a load of shit. I'm hallucinating. It's a dream." Izzy poked Slash. He returned the poke with a look at Loden like, "...What the hell is WRONG with your friends?!" She held up her hands. "It's the real thing, I assure you, otherwise, I wouldn't be giving this speech, and I couldn't do this," Loden pinched Izzy. Hard.

"OW!" Izzy said. She glared at Loden. "This is amazing...any other people you got hiding out here?" Loden shook her head again. "I can give you a tour, if you'd like," she said, finally setting down her keys, purse, and coat. "That would be...nice..." Izzy shook her head, and looked at Loden. "This is amazing. Your dream come true. I want a full story. I've got time. But for now..." Izzy gave Loden that look and half-grin.

                    "Where's my room?"

Here I go again on my own...Goin' down the only road I've ever known...Oh. Sorry. Heh.

                                                                               ~*~*~*~

"Whoa," Loden breathed. Nikki and Slash had taken the girls out for a treat. The place they had gone was a ballroom. Not just any ballroom. Try rock ballroom. This place played all the tunes you could dance your heart out to. Not to mention served really good sliders and peppermint Schmirnoff's.

But it really was spectacular. Chandeliers lighted each corner, although there was one that the four retreated to because it wasn't lighted. The walls were painted a deep red, with amazing murals of people or bands. Nikki and Slash were up there too. Go figure. The tables had black tablecloths, and everything was either shining crystal or polished silver. There was a bouquet of red roses for each centerpiece. It really was a magnificent place. The music set everything off like fireworks. It was everything from classics like Aerosmith to modern, like Buckcherry. People were dressed up and dressed down. Some were odd. Others were normal. And a few were just plain freaky. A couple were cosplayers, with their hair all teased out and wearing pretty trashy clothing. Okay, that's all I'll say. It might take a while to describe everything. Anyways...

Zoe was impressed. "This is pretty nice," she said. "Considering how cheap Nikki usually is," Loden giggled. Nikki couldn't restrain a small smile. "We thought it would make up a little, since our road trip got cut short and all that," Slash said. Nikki still said nothing, but he was still smiling a little. Zoe could easily pick up that he was either in one of those moods, or had a surprise for them. Loden ignored it. She figured he was just in a mood. They sat down. A cute Hawaiian waitress came up to them. "And what would you like tonight?" she said, smiling. "Peppermint Schmirnoff's," Loden said simply. "Tea will do," Zoe said. "Jack Daniel's!" Nikki and Slash chorused. The waitress scribbled it down. "I'll be back in a moment," she said, scurrying off. "They don't card?" Loden said. Slash shook his head. "Lucky you," Nikki said. "And you're the short one too." Loden snorted. "You're the one that trashes rooms and makes us rebuild them when you're drunk," she retorted, "That's any better?" Zoe stopped the fighting, "Not here, not tonight. At least try to act a little civil." Loden snorted again. That was the last thing anybody said before the waitress came back with drinks. She passed them out. As she left, Loden raised an eyebrow. "Now that was ninja," Nikki said. "Very," Loden agreed.

In the kitchen, gossip was going around that four of the almost-most famous people were sitting right in the ballroom. "Kimi, are you sure it was them?" an older chef said. "Yes, Jeffrey, positive," the waitress replied. "That's right up the alley, dude," a guy with brown hair and a hat on said. "They do not want to attract attention. This won't get out, will it?" a tall lady who was seemingly in charge asked in a warning tone. "No, Marissa," the workers replied. "Good. Get back to work," she said.

Back outside, in their little corner of the ballroom, the four Children were deep in discussion, about what else but music?

"I for one though that the opening for Saints was an amazing one," Zoe said. "Mr Brownstone was better though," Loden said. "Yeah, but Saints of Los Angeles was subtle," Nikki said. "That's unlike Motley Crue," Slash pointed out. "Subtle just isn't your style." Loden nodded. "I think opening lines that fit the band suit the song better," she said. "But different works too," Zoe argued. "You can't go from completely mind-blowing to incredibly quiet in one song," Loden replied. "She's got a point," Nikki said. Slash munched on a french fry. The other three had seemingly turned to him to settle it. He looked at Loden. "Whaaaat?" he said. "What are you looking at? Stop staring." He tossed a fry lazily at Nikki, who caught it in his mouth and ate it. "Nikki, you don't know where his hands have been!" Zoe said. Nikki's eyes widened. Then he gagged. "Blech, ick, yuck, gross," he said, gulping down the last of his Jack Daniel's. Loden giggled. Slash grinned. Nikki tipped his glass upside down. "That's jacked up," he pouted, putting it down. Luckily, the waitress came back. "More for you?" she asked. Nikki nodded. Loden kicked him under the table. "What?" Nikki whispered. "Stop staring," she hissed. The little waitress walked off. That's when a good song came on. Loden turned her attention to it. "Heyy, it's La Vida Loca," she said. Zoe was already up, dragging Nikki to the very center of the floor. "Wait a second!" he said. "What..." Loden waltzed her way through the crowd, Slash right there behind her. "Upside, inside out! She's livin' La Vida Loca!" The music blasted loud and clear from the speakers.

Everyone was dancing around them. "Come on! Move!" Zoe shouted to Nikki over the noise, even though he was standing right in front of her. Loden and Slash were already dancing, not caring about anything in the world. "Whoo!" Loden said. Suddenly, she was pulled over. "What the hell," her mood turned from "whoopie!" to "motherfucker" in a second. "Aybaybay!" the guy that had pulled her aside winked. "Oh my God!" Loden stared in amazement. "Dalton?!" The man smiled. "Better believe it! he said. Slash got to them. "What the fuck, dude," he said. "Relax," Loden said, "It's an old...old...friend." Slash looked at him. "Whoakay," he said, walking off. "How did you..." Loden started. "Very carefully," Dalton nodded. "I figured, but-" He cut her off before she could say anything. "Looks like your dream came true," he jabbed a thumb in the direction Slash went. She nodded. "It was amazing, really," she said. "Zoe's here too!" Dalton's jaw dropped. "Seriously?" he said. "Yeah!" she said. "Come on!" Loden pulled him through the crowd by his hand. "Zoe! Zoe, look who found us!" Zoe turned. She was totally wrapped around Nikki. And from the looks of it, he was pretty happy. Dalton's jaw dropped even further. "ZOE!" He rushed at her, hugging her tightly. "Holy shit, Dalton!" Zoe said. "We gotta go," Slash shouted. "Why?" Loden said. "Now," Slash didn't hesitate. He took Loden by the wrist and dodged through the horde of people. Nikki, Zoe, and Dalton followed.

"What the frick is up with you?" Loden demanded as she was shoved roughly into the seat of the limo. "No time to explain," Slash replied shortly. Zoe, Nikki, and Dalton all piled in. "FLOOR THE DAMNED THING," Nikki screeched. And so the driver did. Hard. "Now there's time to explain," Loden said. "What the frick?" Zoe said. Nikki replied their demands with a short explaination, "There was whole fucking mob of paparazzi, fangirls, and retards coming right at us," he said. "That's why we took the back entrance," Slash said. "We would have had to go all ninja on them, had they not dragged us out," Dalton said. "How come the guys noticed and we didn't?" Zoe asked confusedly. Loden shrugged. "So then how is our dear Dalton tonight?" she said. Dalton grinned. "Absolutely perfect," he said. "You guys never came back to tell us why you left, you know." Loden thought for a moment. "That's true," she nodded. "We're sorry." Dalton shrugged. "No problem, I'll just have to go and see if I can find Lee, Becca, Paul, Sky, Mikey, Zuzi...uhh..." he shrugged again. "I saw Pauly, except..." Loden giggled. "What? Was he humping a fire hydrant?" Dalton said. "Yeah!" Zoe started laughing. Nikki and Slash listened to the conversation closely. "What the hell is wrong with their friends?" Nikki whispered to Slash. "I dunno, but apparently one of them humps fire hydrants," he replied. "No, seriously, where did you see him?" Dalton said. "His dog was basically humping the fire hydrant," Loden nodded. Zoe giggled again. "It was kind of funny, but he didn't see either of us," she said.

They  spent the night talking and catching up. They exchanged phone numbers, so they could text and call each other. Dalton crashed at the mansion that night, then high-tailed it outta there in the morning. After he left, it was just kind of Loden and Slash, as Nikki and Zoe had left for something. It was kind of quiet, too. Seeing as Slash and Loden had stayed up pretty late last night, the other two came home to them all curled up together on the couch, an almost silent bundle. "Aww," Zoe said. "They remind me of puppies!" Nikki snorted, but inside he was laughing just as much as Zoe was giggling. She took a picture with her phone and set it as her front screen. After lingering a bit longer to see if Slash and Loden would wake up, Nikki and Zoe floated upstairs for awhile. Loden and Slash didn't wake up till the next morning, although they did awaken briefly. "Th' hell..." Loden poked her head up, bleary eyed. "Mm?" Slash put an arm around her waist and pulled her closer. "Oh...n'vermind then..." She let her head drop and they kept right on snoozin'.

They remind me of puppies too. Hehe.

Openin' theme: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OsrDv3K7RNI  WHOO. I really liked this vid...figured it mighta been a good way to start Shooting Stars. Heh. OKAY, so, here's the basic storyline for season two.

So you got a big surprise at the end of season one, right? (Kind of, not really, meh.) Okay, well, there'll be bigger surprises in season two...Shooting Stars. Watch as the four Children of Rock fight their way to the top. Literally and figuratively. This set of stories involves the following, as counted off on fingers: Freaky kidnapping, odd reunion, a sharp knife, and a fit in a really bright hospital room. Enjoy the rather screwed up misadventures of CoR...

                                                                                    ~*~*~*~

      Three days later...

:Loden blinked twice and rubbed her eyes. "Ow," she said. Slash nodded. "Sometimes I hate photo shoots," he`sighed. "Especially in this stupid wedding dress...not what I was planning on wearing," she said, trying to pick up the layers of fluffy, gauzy fabric that created the rather retarded and airy wedding dress that the photographer managed to shove her into. With a corset. Laced as tight as can be and all way up. Basically, ow.

"Press is a bitch, now that they've SOMEHOW managed to find out," Slash said. "Pose, you wondaful young couple, pose!" the photographer shouted. Loden glared at him. "That's right, be fierce! Perfect!" he said. She stuck her now-pierced tongue out at him. "Mr. Jaques, I'm sorry, but these two will simply have to go, they have a very important date," a voice came from one side of the studio, sounding a little deep, with kind of an accent. Loden's heels clicked on the hardwood floor as she pulled Slash along quickly. Glad to be off the set, of course. She picked up her cloud of taffeta, being careful not to trip on it as she went.

Exiting to the right of the "stage," she saw Nikki and Zoe lurking in the shadows. Zoe raised an eyebrow at the dress. "Looks uncomfortable," she said. Loden nodded. "I have a breeze up my ass, and I can't pick all of it up," she said. Her heels still clicked. Slash's Italian clogs smacked the floor. "Thanks for getting us out of there," Loden said. Nikki nodded. "No problem," Zoe said. "Better change outta that thing before we leave," Nikki said. Loden nodded. "Come here," she pulled Slash into the changing room.

"What?" he asked. "I need SOMEONE to help me untie this stupid corset," she said. "Why not Zoe? I dunno how to tie those things," he said, stepping out of his show-shoes. "Because you were coming in here anyways, and I just want to get the freaking thing off," she said, turning around in multiple circles, trying to catch the laces on the back of the dress. She ended up falling over. "Oww," she said. Slash helped her back up.

Once back on her feet, she backed up. "Would you mind untying those for me?" she asked. Slash nodded, obeying. He untied it, and she ripped it off like it was some sort of savage animal that had attached itself to her back, exposing the corset. It made her look painfully thin. She winced as he untied that too.

"Hun, how tight did Jaques tie this thing up exactly?" he asked. "Very tight," Loden said. She winced again, slipping on her shirt. Slash waited patiently for her to finish up, as he was already changed and everything. "Okay, I'm fine," she said. They emerged from the room.

"Hi!" Zoe greeted them cheerfully. Nikki looked at her. "Suck-up," he teased. "Oh, ME? Who's been asking what Loden wanted for the past week?" Zoe stuck out her tongue. Loden tilted her head. "Miaow?" she said, sounding pretty close to a real Japanese cat. "Ah," Nikki closed one eye tightly. "Oh, so what did you want?" Slash asked. "Er...actually...I was wondering if you could maybe...I dunno, go and do a little shopping for me?" Nikki shrugged hopefully. Loden doubled over laughing.

Nikki's face fell. "What's so funny?" he asked. "You," a giggle, "want ME," harder giggles, "to go SHOPPING for you?" She started laughing again. Slash smirked. Zoe pouted. Hmm, where have we seen this before? "He's no good at it," Zoe defended him. "He-HA-has his own clothing line! How could he not? HAHAHAAA!" Loden said. Slash was cracking up by now too.

"You people suck," Nikki said. "Puh-leeze," Loden said. "Zoe can do it for you!" Slash said, cheerfully. "I'm just gonna get him a couple leather mongs and be done with it," Zoe said. Nikki nodded glumly. "That's what happened the LAST time I sent her shopping," he said. Loden giggled. "Okay, fine, but only if Zoe comes too," she said. "YAY," Zoe squealed. Nikki facepalmed. Slash grinned. "Looks like it'll just be us again," he said, in a sing song tone. "Ah crap, I'll never hear the end of it," Nikki said. "Nope," Slash said. Loden and Zoe were midly amused by their talking without fighting. That and the conversation itself. But of course after a little bit it turned into a fight. The two girls sidled away, leaving the guys to deal with it. "Giggle!" Loden said. Zoe nodded. "Very," she replied.

"So then how did that photoshoot go, Loden?" Zoe asked. Loden thought for a moment, then made a face. "Jaques' retarded son kept leering at me," she said, "And he shoved me and Slash into these retarded outfits." Zoe nodded. "That's kind of how it was when Nik-" She stopped talking. Loden raised an eyebrow. "What's that?" she said. Zoe shuffled her feet. "Mrphmrumrgh," she mumbled. "Hmm?" Loden held her smile. "Okay FINE," Zoe said. "It was supposed to stay a secret, but it didn't turn out that way, because press always finds out and makes a big deal out of it and you and Slash are the only two I can trust but I haven't told him yet and..." she trailed off. Loden shook her head and rolled her eyes. "It's all good, no big deal. I figured something was up anyways. Nikki's magazine rack got cleaned out, and he won't let anyone near it. Plus, you and him were gone for a pretty long time. Movies don't last that long." Loden pointed out some of the mistakes they had made. Then one of two men rushed past the girls. "What the hell?!" Zoe looked left and right down the hallway, and almost got run over by the other.

"Oh Jesus," Loden said. She strided down the hall, following Slash and Nikki's voices. "GODDAMN YOU," Nikki screeched. "IT WAS ONLY A JOKE!" Slash said. "I DOUBT IT!" Nikki replied. Loden easily ran past Nikki, and caught Slash by the arm. "What did you do?" she demanded. "I told a joke! That was it!" Slash cowered. Nikki stopped at the sight, and snorted. "What a wimp," he said. "ME? I'm not the one that spazzed out when you commented," Slash growled. Loden snapped her teeth at both of them to shut the two up. Nikki took a step back. "Christ," Slash looked at Loden. "How do you do that?!" Zoe was giggling, watching the three. "Very carefully," Loden said. "Now, what happened?" Nikki pointed accusingly at Slash. "He made a racist joke about Canadians," he pouted. Slash snorted. "Did not!" he said. "Did too!" Nikki said back.

               "Did not!"

               "Did too!"

               "Did not!"

"SHUT UP, both of you!" Loden snarled. Zoe backed up a little. "You're acting like kids! Get over it! Nikki, it was a joke, get over it, Slash, don't repeat it. God." Loden brought herself up to her full five foot four. There was silence. Zoe spoke up. "Let's...get back to the mansion..." she said, tentatively. Did I mention that right after the press and paparazzi found out about the proposal, the four were shipped directly back to Van Nuys and kinda sorta put on lockdown? "I'll walk back," Loden mumbled. She was probably ticked off. Scratch that, she was most definitely ticked off. A walk through a quiet place usually helped. Loden walked out, pulling Slash along quickly. Half of the people in the hallway had stopped and were staring. The two reached the exit. She dragged him out, leaving Zoe and Nikki alone.

"Hi!" he said, trying to sound at least a litte cheery, even if Loden wasn't. "Hello," she said. "And how is my most favourite person in the world doing today?" He smiled, glad to see that she was a little perkier. "Good," he nodded. Loden leaned on him. Suddenly, Zoe and Nikki burst out the front doors with a huge horde of people following them. Slash raised an eyebrow. Loden looked at him. They both started laughing. "I think THEY found out too," she giggled. He nodded. "I'll bet. Come on, let's see where they're going." The two started to catch up. "Bet I can beat you there!" Loden called. "No way!" Slash said. "Ready, set, go!" Both started running as fast as they could.

A good ending to one of the first days. How lucky, after all...but not for long!

WHOOO. Season lists: Children of Rock -- Children of Rock: Misadventure's Ink -- Children of Rock: Shooting Stars. Nyah?

                                                                                           ~*~*~*~

The girls came home that evening, feeling especially...well, special. They had been pampered and dolled up. Well, okay, as dolled up as it can get for two CoR girls. Heh.

"Wo-o-o-w, someone's looking spiffy," Nikki complimented the girls as they came in. Loden's purple and brown hair was shining brightly, the purple now actually purple instead of faded out red, and the natural brown was silky and knot-less. Her skin was smooth, and clear. Her cheeks were shining crimson, and she looked like the picture of absolute perfection.

Zoe's hair was cut perfectly. It looked great, a perfect dark brown with a little of that black. It shone brightly, and it was healthy. Her eyelids glittered a bit with dark green eyeshadow, and her smile was a subtle pink. Slash whistled at the grand enterance of both girls. Loden stuck her tongue out, but pulled it back in almost at once.

Nikki looked at her. "What was that silver thing?" he asked. "Uhh, nothing, nothing at all," Loden said. "Come on, open your mouth," he said, standing in front of her. "No!" She mushed her lips together. Nikki tried to force it open. "MRPH! OW!" Loden opened her mouth wide, gagging. He had poked her in the throat. That was pretty much the only way to get her to open her mouth. A silver bar went through her tongue.

"AH, holy shit Loden!" Nikki's eyes widened at the sight of her tongue piercing. Loden shut her mouth and sucked in her cheeks. "So what?" she said. Zoe kept back a giggle. "I went with her, actually," she said. "It was funny to watch her squirm when the little man pulled on her tongue and clamped that thing down on it." Loden glared at her. "It HURT, thanks," she snorted. "I can tell, you were almost crying afterwards," Zoe replied. Nikki sniggered. "Hey, you shut up, you WERE crying when you got your tongue pierced," Loden said. It was Nikki's turn to glare. Slash and Loden giggled. Zoe pouted.

"And I still have pictures," Loden fluttered her eyelids. Nikki's eyes widened. "Relax, they're back at the house," she said. He phewed. Loden stuck her tongue out. "It's so much fun to play with," Zoe smiled. "I'll bet," Slash said. Loden smiled. "Maybe you cou' fin' out," she said. Nikki closed an eye tightly. "Eww," Zoe said. She couldn't keep her giggles back though. Loden stuck her tongue out again, squinting her eyes, but still smiling. Then her phone went off. "I'm the man...in the box...buried in my SHIT," Alice in Chains shouted at her. She picked it up. "Hi Mommy," she said. Nikki leaned in. Loden's eyes widened. "WHAAAAAAT?!!!!" she said. Loudly. "Okay, sorry. But you're really saying you don't want to have us there if we don't want to??!!!...MURRR?????...Okay!...All the more time to become impregnated by your 'former future husband'...HAHA...no...what?...Can't hear you...Ffffscccchhhh...breakshhhh...upchhhhsh..." Loden hung up. Nikki looked at her with pride. He wiped away a fake tear. "I'm so, proud of you!" He hugged her. "Ah, God, get the frick off," Loden pushed him away. "On the bright side...we don't have to go to the wedding," she said.

Nikki must have jumped three feet in the air. Zoe bounced. Slash glomped Loden. She cuddled him happily. "Lick," she said. She licked his cheek. Nikki snorted. Zoe giggled. Slash wiped it off on Loden's shoulder. "There are much better places to put that you know," Zoe said. "Oh dear, was there a pun there?" Loden said. Zoe grinned. "Duhh," she said. "A perverted one at that." Loden shivered. And twitched. "Thanks for that image, I'll save it to my Mac as soon as I get it uploaded through my ear," she said. "Sounds about right," Nikki nodded. Suddenly, Slash pulled Loden aside. "Yessss," she said, running a finger down his chest.

"We have to talk," he said. Loden frowned. "What about?" she asked. Nikki and Zoe were standing off, talking. Slash took a quick look over at them. And then pulled Loden back and a bit farther away. He pulled something from his pocket. Loden tilted her head with bright eyes, almost like a curious cat. He handed it over, on one knee. Zoe saw him out of the corner of her eye. She pointed it out, whispering to Nikki, "Look." Slash looked down, mumbling something.

"What was that?" Loden tilted his chin up. Slash couldn't help it. He shot up, grabbing her, and kissing her, right there. He whispered it into her ear: "I love you too much...let's make it official...please?" She smiled. "Yes," she said. "Absolutely."

Keep an eye out for a new name, new twists, and a new bass/guitar line...

                Alright...here we go. CREDITS!

Thanking pretty much everyone, you know, Zoe, Slash, Nikki, Mom, and them. There have been a lot of things going on. CoR's fantasyland helped. But that's besides the point.

Thanks to everyone again, especially the main characters of this story...and my doctor...for diagnosing me with an overactive mind. Hehe. Now I have somewhere to put all those ideas and twists!

Have a good night, listen to some good music, and look out for season two, Shooting Stars!

    SPA DAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYYY

'                                                                                          ~*~*~*~

After breakfast, Zoe and Loden were almost out the door, both dressed casually, when Nikki stopped to question them. "Where are you going?" he asked. "Spa day, you two are all alone today," Loden answered. Slash stared at Zoe and Loden. "WHAT?" he said. "But...but...what are we gonna do?" Nikki asked, wide-eyed. "You'll figure something out," Loden tossed the comment over her shoulder, Zoe walking behind her. She shut the door. Then the two girls were gone.

"Well, damn," Nikki said, looking at Slash. "Now what?" Slash shrugged. "And they get to have all the fun." Slash kept to himself. There was a moment of silence. Nikki looked over at him. "You're awfully quiet." Slash looked up. "Right, so, then, what ARE we going to do today?" he asked. Suddenly, it was like there was a lightbulb above Nikki's head. A rather dim one. Maybe kind of a sad one?

"I just realised something, old friend," Nikki said. The other rockstar became interested. "The girls are usually the ones that plan our day, and now, without THEM around," he spread his arms wide, "We can't figure out anything to do." Slash thought on this for a moment. "You're right," he nodded. "So now it's our turn to figure out something to do." Birds chirped. They were sitting outside, about an hour after Zoe and Loden had left. People passed them by. Quite a few stopped to stare at the two rockstars, sitting on a bench, side by side, like regular people. There was more silence. And then: Click. Clickclick. SNAP.

"OW, motherfuckers!" Slash jumped up. Nikki had already turned tail. Two reporters were suddenly taking their pictures. "WAIT! We have questions! Just tell USA Today what you've been up to!" One called after, hopelessly. "Why now?" Nikki called. "I don't KNOW! JUST RUN!" Slash said back. They ran and ran, until they finally lost the two nosy photographers. The two stopped...and started laughing.

"Whoo, that was...nice," Slash said. They had made a circle, back to the bench. They sat down. "Yeah! I haven't ran like that in...ages," Nikki replied. "Maybe we can have a little fun without the girls," Slash said. Nikki nodded. It turns out they did. The first one they had had since a month after the heroin addiction was over.

Meanwhile, Loden and Zoe were rather enjoying themselves. Their day had started with a manicure. "Ah, God, what a good break," Zoe said, leaning back in her chair. "From all that crap, you're so right," Loden relaxed in hers. Two rather cute Asian guys came up to them, kneeling down. Zoe and Loden looked at each other and giggled. "Perfect," Loden said. Zoe nodded. One of them took Loden's hand, kissing it. That just made her and Zoe giggled a little more. "Anything paticula today, ma'am?" he asked in a Japanese accent. "Surprise me, please," Loden said with a smile. "Whokay," he said, beginning to file her nails. "I see your friend is rather enjoying Zoe's company," Loden commented. The other Asian boy looked up. "Very much," he said. Zoe giggled. "They're so CUTE," she said. "Aren't they?" Loden replied.

Relaxing felt good. But Loden was a little worried. She hadn't gotten any details about the wedding. Or had she? She decided to check her phone before the day was over. What if it was a formal wedding? She didn't have anything to wear. Unless it was that black dress with the roses coming up the side. Hmm. Maybe she had something else...meh. She'd worried about it later.

Once they had finished with their manicure, Loden's nails had been pampered. The cuticles were even and perfect. Her nails were shiny. A French manicure with black instead of white tips and rhinestones had topped it off. Zoe's had little green and gold stripes and rhinestones. "Those two were so cute, and they did such a good job," Zoe said, walking down a hall to the "cleansing" room. Loden nodded. "It's like he read my mind, knowing that I wanted anything but white!" she said. Zoe nodded. "Next up," she said, "green smeary crap!" Loden grinned. "Whoo!" she said. "Maybe we'll get cucumbers too," Zoe giggled. Both of them started laughing.

Entering the small room, they saw it had a nuetral feel to it. Warm colours were painted on every wall. Subtle paintings were hung. There were two comfortable-looking chairs near the back of the room. Two ladies escorted Zoe and Loden to the back of the room. "Right, so, let's get right on task!" one of them said. She was a bit short, but taller than Loden, with blonde and black hair. "First we'll wash your hair, good and clean," the other said. "And then we'll give you a facial cream, to make it shine and become soft," the shorter said. Loden looked at Zoe. "Awesome," Loden said. "Let's do it to it," Zoe replied. They leaned back in the comfy green chairs and let their worries and stress melt away.

God only knows what the hell Nikki and Slash were doing. "Look, look, here's one now," Nikki whispered. They watched nearby, waiting for something to happen. Slash followed Nikki's eyes. A man wearing a green top and jeans walked by. "A-a-a-nd...now!" Nikki swerved out in front of him. Slash stayed where he was, hidden from the man's point of view. "Hello there," he said. "We were just wondering if you could help us out..." he started. Slash held back a smile. The man looked confusedly at the two rockstars. "Yes?" he asked. "What is it?" Nikki took a breath. "We're kind of lost, you see," his eyes followed Slash as he snuck up behind the man, "and we wanted to know where Stratosphere hotel was." Slash came up behind him, tapping him on the shoulder. "Actually I was wondering where this one place was downtown," he said. "No, no, Stratosphere has to be closer, and I asked first," Nikki said. Slash snorted. "I would rather get down there faster and leave this poor man alone," he said. The man caught in the middle looked left and right.

Then he ran off, rambling. Slash and Nikki watched him go. Then they high-fived. "Ha," Slash said. "That was good," Nikki sniggered. "We got him so confused. It was amazing, how off track her was," Slash said. They chatted for a bit. Then they continued further down the street to plan another trap.

                    Men.

Someone should totally make a TV show out of this. Like, seriously. I'M BACK, by the way...

In the morning, Loden was tired. Probably because she hadn't slept a wink, no matter how much Slash tried to make her more comfortable.  She rolled over to face him. "This sucks," she sighed. "Why didn't Mom invite you or Zoe?" He shrugged, blinking a little. "'Cause technically we're not family," he said. "Technically, you are," she argued. "Really?" he asked. "Because, you're sort of Mom's son-in-law, us, you know," Loden said. "This is too complicated this early," Slash said, furrowing his brow in an effort to figure it out. "So true," she nodded, curling up parallel to his body. "You're warm," she sighed. "Gee, thanks," he said, wrapping an arm around her. "No problem," she snuggled up to him.

Despite his warmth and comfort, she still couldn't get to sleep. "Pills, dammit," she got up angrily. Slash looked at her. "Suit...case..." he eyed her warily as she walked over to the case. "You alright?" he asked. "No," she replied. "What's wrong?" he probed. She pulled her sleeping pills out of a pouch. "Mother," she mumbled. "Ahh," he said. She popped the bottle open, taking two small, pink pills out and reaching for a bottle of water on top of the armoir. "Are you sure that's how many you're supposed to take?" Slash asked.

(Notice how neither one noticed that it was morning yet.)

Loden checked the bottle. "Yes," she said. She knew he was only trying to make sure she wasn't taking too many or too less, but she was frustrated and irritated and didn't particularly care. "Just making sure," he said, still eyeing her. Loden downed her pills, though reluctantly. There was a knock on the door. "GET UP," she heard Zoe call. "Screw you!" Loden called back. Nikki shot back at her, "Well, someone's pissy this morning!" Loden snarled like a wildcat. Slash's eyes widened. "The hell," he looked back and forth. "That was me," Loden said. "Ohhh, scary little kitten," Nikki taunted. "SHUT the fuck up!" Loden growled. That silenced both Nikki and Zoe. She heard footsteps, and low talking.

"Murr," she said, rolling over. Slash faced her, looking  into her eyes. "What's up?" he asked her. "Nuffin," she said, wrinkling her nose and touching his with a purple fingernail. He smiled. "You know, we really should get out of bed..." he started. She shrugged (is that possible, laying on your shoulder like she was?). "Doesn't matter, if you want to, you can," she said. He sighed. "I'm sorry," he said. Loden scooted over to him. "Nothing you have to be sorry about," she said, "It's just Mom being nitpicky." There was a pause. Then another.

             Then another.

"It's so quiet this morning," Slash said. Loden nodded, taking it all in. "Because no-one wants to be up this early," she said. There was a light knock on the door. "Did ya bring breakfast this time?" she called. "Of course!" she heard Nikki call back. "You just gotta get up to eat it," Zoe said. "I love them," Loden said, swing her legs out of bed. Nikki opened the door. "And I thought you had to have a keycard for these things," he said. "Expensive hotel, cheap locks," Loden replied. "Your hair doesn't look too bad this morning," Zoe said. "Gee, thanks," Loden returned the comment. Slash looked at all three, already discussing. He felt a little left out. He knew he shouldn't. Not with all the time he had with Loden alone. Loden handed him an apple. "Eat it, c'mon," she said. Then he noticed Nikki was holding a banana, at the same time Loden did.

"Don't go sticking that thing down your pants this time," she giggled. Zoe laughed. Nikki glared at her. Slash sniggered. He thought about the last time someone had given him a banana. Loden found it while folding up his pants the next day. Then he realised how much work she had done when she was thirteen. Plus she had been the youngest of the group. She still was. He kind of sat there, cross-legged, munching on his food mindlessly. "Dude," Loden's hand waving in front of his face snapped him out of it, "the seeds aren't edible." He hadn't even realised that he was at the core. He was busy thinking. Zoe and Nikki were talking. "Sorry, I was just...thinking." The words sounded clumsy, coming out. Those dark brown eyes blinked twice, and her brow furrowed. "Are you alright?" she asked him. He nodded. "Perfectly fine," he said. "Good," she said, "Cuz I wanted a bite of that apple without having forcing your hand from it," she swiped his breakfast and took a bite, then handed it back. He sniggered. "You and your food," he said. "I blame Mom," she replied. Nikki shook his head, clucking. "It's not nice to blame things on other people," he said. Loden rolled her eyes, but couldn't stifle her smile. Zoe giggled. Slash and Nikki both agreed that it was kind of funny, though they didn't say anything.

Maybe today would be a good day.

Three Reasons

5:51 PM, 2008-Sep-4 .. 0 comments .. Link

I know that some of you may ask, "Why do you keep these up like you do?" There are three reasons why I write these, and I don't continue most others, like the randoms you see in my main blog.

  3. Because it's sort of an addiction to me ;P

  2. Because I've found a good, strong, workable topic. An awesome topic, in my opinion.

And the number one reason why...

#1 Reason: Because you can twist and bend it in pretty much any way, with two rockstars and two girls involved. Hehehe. Anywhere from something as simple as a free hotel room to another long couple years of heroin, and trust me, there's gonna be a lot more exteremes in between. Nothing as high as heroin though...Jesus, no...O...O

I love you fans. You always listen to the writer. Heh. Love, Loden

Sneak Peak? O:

5:44 PM, 2008-Sep-2 .. 0 comments .. Link

It was raining outside, and Nikki's hair was rather droopy. "Are you in a bad mood or something?" Loden asked him. "No," he said, with gritted teeth. "Of course he is, his hair's low, and it's raining," Slash said. Nikki glared at him. Loden and Zoe giggled.

TEEHEE. Sneak peak at ONE of the next couple parts, once I get around to it. Like I said, I have stuff to work on. Like homework. -.- Blech.

  Bye for now :3 -Loden

Breaktime

5:07 PM, 2008-Sep-2 .. 0 comments .. Link

I'm gonna take a break from writing CoR, so I can work on another story I'm doing. I hope fellow readers (if there are any, other than Zoe...) won't mind too much. I'll have more up as soon as I take a break from my OTHER story, so, yeah. I hope you guys don't mind, and I'm sorry if it was an inconvienence(SP?).

Talk to ya later, and remember, don't take advice from strange, suspicious rockstars kids. -Loden

                                                                                      ~*~*~

"Well then where are we gonna find him?" Nikki asked, after Zoe had finished explaining about her Mark run-in. "I don't KNOW!" she said. "All I know is that he told me he needed to tell us something important but we had to be together to-" She stopped talking as there was a knock on the door. Loden narrowed her eyes. "Whaddya want, you bastard?" she hissed. "Hey, hey, that's no fair," Zoe heard the now-familiar voice of Mark Slaughter say, "What did I ever do to you?" Nikki thought for a moment, and then realisation struck him. "Hold on Mark," he said, getting up and clicking the locks open. Loden looked confused.

When Mark entered, an inkling of a memory came to her. A younger version of him came to mind, followed by a treehouse and  tire swing. She was ten, and remembered this as right after her father had left and she had been told that Nikki was her older brother. After that, all the memories were gone, blurred. Mark spotted her sitting on the bed. "And who, may I ask, is this?" He stood by Slash. "You remember Loden, don't you?" Nikki asked, putting a hand on her shoulder. She shrugged it off. He tried again. She pushed it back. "Stop that," she said. He shrugged. "Don't you?" he asked again.

"But that can't be Loden," Mark said. "Of course it can be, Markie," she said, using his nickname. "She looks so much different," he pffted. "It's probably because I'm 18 and have purple hair," she suggested. Mark looked her over. "Wow," he said, giving in, "you've changed a lot." Loden looked at him. "Except for her height," Nikki joked. She glared at him. Mark grinned.

"You know what, we were just wondering where you were," Zoe cut in, changing the subject, "It's almost as though you're magic." Mark wiggled his fingers. "Maybe I am," he said. Loden rolled her eyes, but couldn't help keeping back a smile. Slash sat in his chair, listening. Loden went over and sat in Nikki's chair. Nikki sat on the bed. "Land the plane already, what is it that you have to tell us?" Slash asked, becoming impatient. "Well, there's something really important...that really only effects the four of you...but..." Mark began.

They all waited in silence for Mark to start talking again.

"Okay, point is, Nikki and Loden's mother is getting married to Stevie D., and she wants them home to be bridesmaid and best man." Loden and Nikki's jaws dropped. Slash sat, wide-eyed. And Zoe...was pretty much lost. "You must be shitting me," Nikki said. Mark shook his head sadly. "There has to be a way out of it," Loden said. Mark shook his head again. "But we always find  a way out," Nikki said. "Not this time, man," Mark said.

Loden glared at him. Nikki glared at him. Slash glared at him. Zoe pouted. Mark looked a little cloudy. What was going on in each of their minds, only God knows what, of course. "Why?" Loden said, breaking the silence, with a shaky voice. Mark gave her a sympathetic look. "That's their business," he said. Loden went back to brooding.

Mark left a little later. Loden and Slash parted from Zoe and Nikki, back to their room downstairs. Zoe and Nikki talked quietly. It seemed an uneasy night for all five.

Children of Rock

Nothing here's gonna change, not the names, not the characters, nothing, if you saw my recent post on my regular blog. Read plz...I was struck with inspiration at school, but that's gonna happen when they get to AZ. :3 But it made me start sniffling when Zoe got into the hotel room and Nikki was pouting D,:

                                                                              ~*~*~

"Ohh, Nikki, what's wrong?" Zoe asked. He kept sniffling pathetically. "Are you sad panda?" More sniffling. Then a trace of a nod. "Do we have to draw little black circles around your eyes now?" He looked up at her, his eyes red and puffy. "Aww, Nikki-i-i-i," she put her arms around him. He kept sniffling, even more pathetically now that he was being held.

"Tell me what's wrong," she persisted. That just made him start sobbing again. "I can wait," she said. "I feel horrible," he sniffed, wiping his eyes on his sleeve. "Why?" Zoe asked him. "'Cuz I said all those mean things to her," he said. "I'm sure she's cooled off," she said gently. "She doesn't get over things that easily though!" he cried. Someone banged on the door.

"Is there something going on up here?" a rough, roaring voice asked. Zoe looked at Nikki. He looked at her with the "is-this-guy-a-rapist-or-a-stalker-or-just-the-hotel-manager-what-the-frick" face. "Erm...nothing...up...here?" Nikki started to panic. "Are you SURE?" the voice rumbled. "RAPE! RAPIST! HELP US!" Zoe started to scream. Nikki looked at her like she was crazy and stupid. They heard no voice afterwards, just heavy footsteps down the hall.

A few minutes later, there was another knock. "DUDE! We could hear you from downstairs!" Loden's familiar voice came from behind it. Both Nikki and Zoe were relieved to have someone they knew there. "Hey, wait, man, back up..." Zoe picked up Loden saying. "Why are you here?" The scary, booming voice came. "We're staying the night, these are our friends," Loden hissed. "Meet MY little friend!" the voice tolled, loud as Big Ben. Nikki's eyes widened as he heard a rather unsettling sound. It was clear Loden was alone.

"Come and get me then," Zoe heard Loden said. She became alarmed at this. Nikki picked up on lighter footsteps, and then-

"OWWWWW!!" The boom of the man's voice came louder than ever, it shook the paintings on the walls and the amoire in the corner, along with the bed. "CAN'T CATCH ME, ASSHOLE!" Nikki did everything he could to keep from laughing from behind the door as he heard lighter footsteps prancing down the hall, with alot heavier ones stumbling after. "Git him Loden, get him!" Zoe said. "Hey, man, what are you doin' chasing after my girl?" Slash snarled.

"This is like an action movie happening right outside your door," Zoe said, excitedly. Nikki nodded, his head facing towards the door. "Your girl? Who said this midget was your girl?" Zoe could see Loden's eyes flash at that, even though the door blocked the scene. There were a couple more light steps, following by a long, high-pitched yowl. Then, silence. The alarm flashed through the two by-standers. As soon as it had started though, the silence ended. "Don't you ever try that again, you stalker, you pedophile bastard," Nikki heard Slash hiss, low and dangerous, and came a squeak as he heard his foot come in contact with the man's body.

They heard the man get up and stumble away, down the stairs. The knock came at the door again. "Come on, Action Heroes," Zoe said, delighted to have heard and pictured all that had happened in the past fifteen minutes. "Kinda have to unlock the door first!" Loden said. Nikki got up and snapped open the latches. Loden breezed through the door, Slash following close behind.

"She takes after you," Zoe said, wiping a non-existant tear from her face. Nikki hit her lightly on the shoulder. "Nice," Nikki said to them, coolly. "It was friggin' amazing. You shoulda seen it. It was like...incredible." Her eyes glittered, an almost demented look about them. She looked so excited she was nearly cross-eyed with it. Slash smirked. "It was hilarious, like the time that one guy was mouthing off about being so much more hardcore than you and you nailed his ear to the table," he said. Loden still looked animated. "I know, you just totally kicked his ass, in a single blow," she squealed.

"What did you do, anyways?" Nikki questioned. "I kicked him hard, and when he was down on the ground I kicked him again in the chest," he said. "It was funny, the way he squeaked in pain, especially for such a brawny man," she said. Then, as if to underline this, they heard a loud, "D-da-dam-d-a-a-a-a-mn!" as if coming from more than one person at a time. Then, as if to make it bold, from downstairs they heard, "Oh my God, you've mentally Kenny, you bastards!" Loden looked at Slash. "I think they're just obsessed with South Park," he said. "I still think the character was epic," she giggled. "That, I have to admit, was funny," he nodded.

"I think my favourite part of that battle was when it sounded like Loden kicked him in the balls," Zoe said. Loden gave her a sly look. "It was the most vulnerable spot, it was like taking candy from a baby," she said. Zoe grinned. "You're a smart one, arentcha?" she said. "She is," Nikki agreed. Slash nodded. "It was brilliant, she had him trapped when I got up to check on her," he said.

Somehow this brought to mind Zoe's run-in with Mark. "I have news to share," she said. The other three's attention turned to her. "Come on, sit before I start talking," she motioned to the other end of the bed and the chairs. Nikki plopped on one of the chairs, alongside Slash in the other chair, while Loden sat back on the pillows on top of the bed. "Okay, well, when I was out walking, I ran into Mark..." she began.

Children of Rock

Yowza! First the reunion, now they're being followed around? I'll be taking charge of this, but I've been in control the entire time...correct? Let's spin this in one direction, and sum it all up so far.

First: The reunion. Nikki and Zoe were driving...on the highway to Vegas, when, incidentally, Zoe notices the little black Mercedes-Benz withthe girl with the purple streaks and the guy with the curly-ass hair.

Second: The hotel room...uh...thing. (Also a coincidence. If you haven't caught what's going on HERE by now, you must not notice anything. AT ALL.)

Third: The CoR's are now being followed around by another rockstar, who's name is not well known, which makes it pretty good cover. Mark Slaughter. Whoop.

Fourth: Find out, and start reading.

                                                                                  ~*~*~

    After awhile, the commotion stopped.

"Wow, it only took about an hour," Zoe said jokingly as Nikki stormed away from Loden. "Whatever," he mumbled. "Hey, hey, it's not like it was pur-" Zoe was cut off as she realised the absolute anger that shown on Nikki's face as he whirled around to face her. "THAT doesn't happen accidently," he snarled at her. With that, he turned and stalked out the door. Most people stared after him, half in amazement of what they just saw, and half in fright. Others were turning their heads to look over at Loden and Slash. Including that of Mark Slaughter's.

"Forget him," he heard Slash mumbling in Loden's ear. "Mmph," she looked pretty angry from where Mark was sitting, peering over the top of his newspaper inconspiciously. "Is he overreacting, or is it just me," she said, crossing her arms. "It might be a little of both," he caught, before the two of them walked towards the door, having a low conversation. That only left Zoe. He turned his attention to her.

Zoe watched them walk out. She furrowed her brow. "I don't understand sibling rivalry," he heard her murmur,  seemingly to herself, shaking her head. Suddenly, she was looking straight at him. He ducked behind his newspaper once more. He didn't look up, hearing the door clang open again, knowing that it was probably Zoe off to chase after Nikki.

And outside, Nikki ws striding throught the streets, head down, arms crossed, and mood slowly going downhill. Someone actually came up to him and asked him what was wrong. He glared at them coldly and continued stalking, until he had made a full circle around the neighbourhood and was back in front of the hotel. He proceeded to glare at the hotel too. He walked slowly through the doors, and then walked upstairs, got into the hotel room, flopped down and- started sniffling.

Loden and Slash were sort of wandering around downtown, browsing through shops and such. Loden had cooled down a little since. He could see the anime-style glittering eyes as she commented, "Last night was amazing." He nodded slowly, thinking. "Hey, wait, there's a-" she started, too late. He walked into the bright red door of one of the shops. She started giggling. He got up, rubbing his forehead. "I think we have bad luck with doors," he said. She nodded, still smiling widely, her wavy-ish hair bouncing. She started fiddling with her bracelets. "Thinking about something?" he asked her. "No...no, nothing," she said, hiding her smile.

As for Zoe, she was almost to the hotel when she was stopped by a stranger, wearing a hat with jeans and a regular shirt. "May I HELP you?" she said, trying to sound irritated. "Yes, actually," he said, in a low voice. It sounded familiar. "First of all, who are you?" she asked. "Mark," he said. He looked up at her. "Oh my God, it's Ma-" he shushed her. "I want to tell you something," he continued, "but we have to have the rest of them with us." She looked at him in amazement. "I- Well, Nikki and Loden will get nowhere near each other, but I could...could pass it on," she stuttered. "Mm," he nodded. "I can tell, from that horrific fight, but that's not the point," he said. "When something happens...something good," he started again, before Zoe could say something. She nodded with wide eyes. Zoe stared after him, jaw opened, as he walked casually down the street. "Incredible," she said to herself. She entered the hotel room, and found Nikki curled up in a ball on the bed, crying.
