Almost Christmas!!
It's almost Christmas! I can't wait!
Gabriel's birthday was a month ago, and he got my Mum's old PSP, and a new Nintendo Wii. Finally! We get to play on the Wii again! My parents have taken out a 2-year insurance on this one incase it breaks again.
I've been watching the X Factor this year. It had its ups and downs, but overall it was quite good.

If I could have controlled it, I would have had it gone like this:
Week 1 - John & Edward
Week 2 - Olly Murs
Week 3 - Rikki Loney
Week 4 - Danyl Johnson
Week 5 - Lloyd Daniels
Week 6 - Rachel Adedeji
Week 7 - Jamie Archer
Week 8 - Joe McElderry
Week 9 - Kandy Rain
3rd Place - Miss Frank
Runner-up - Lucie Jones
Winner - Stacey Solomon
For me, the there were quite some highlights in this year's series:
- John & Edward - They were quite a highlight for everyone. I personally thought that they were very entertaining to watch, but they can't sing! I would have had them go on Week 1, because it's a singing contest. And I think Louis only put them through because they're Irish like him.
- Week 3 - I think it was all great... until the end. I was quite annoyed when Miss Frank went, because I think they were the best group, AND it meant that Jedward were Louis' top group. And I think Miss Frank were WAY better than Danyl.
- Olly Murs - I never really found Olly all that entertaining. I think he's a good singer, and a good dancer, but I never thought he was that good. I was often left scratching my head, wondering why people liked him so much.
- Week 5 - Like week 3, it was great until the end. I was soooooo angry when Lucie got eliminated. It was when Simon suddenly decided to vote in Jedward's favour that I got quite annoyed. They then went to deadlock, and I was saying in my head "Please don't say Lucie! Please don't say Lucie! Please don't say Lucie! Please don't say Lucie! Oh crap, he said Lucie!" I was completley outraged! I just wanted to walk into the screen and shoot Simon! I think the cheapskate Simon Coward only voted to keep Jedward in so the ratings would stay up, and so he would have a better chance of winning. It wasn't just that Lucie Jones went out, it was that she also lost to Jedward!
- Stacey Solomon - I think Stacey was by far the best singer in the competition. She was amazing. Many people at my school said they didn't like the way she talks, but I do actually. I was quite annoyed when she went out on the first half of the final. But she came third, which is very good. And I think that it does mean she has a chance of getting a record deal.
- Week 6 - I have to say, I was really suprised at the outcome of that week. When they went to Deadlock between Jamie and Lloyd, I was thinking "Well, that's it for Lloyd then." Then Dermot read Jamie's name out, and I was really suprised. I wasn't particularly fussed that Jamie went out, but I really wasn't expecting it. I was more annoyed that Jedward had been announced as safe.
- Week 7 - I was sooo happy when John & Edward finally went out! YAY!!
- After the show - I had seen that FaceBook campaign to get Rage Against the Machine's "Killing in the Name" to the Christmas number 1 in protest of The X Factor's singles constantly getting it. I was quite disappointed when Joe didn't get the Christmas number 1. I haven't listened to Killing in the Name, because the title makes it sound like a hateful emo song. And the fact that it's been censored whenever it's been on the radio kinda make's it seem even more like that. But I think Joe will get number 1 next week, as his single is now outselling Killing in the Name. And the Christmas number One only seems special because of the title. Other than that, it's just the same as every other week in the charts.
Here are YouTube videos of some of my favourite performances on this year's show:
Currently listening to: Bobbysocks - La Det Swinge
Currently reading: Matilda by Roald Dahl
