Giant Delay

I'm sorry I took such a huge break; I've been so busy lately!

Monday through Friday last week was finals for me, and the past semester, I've had three studio art classes, so that was a LOT of projects to finish. I returned home on Saturday so I'd have a few days to get stuff ready for getting my wisdom teeth out on Wednesday. (I had to be under general anesthesia for it, but I wasn't as miserable as I thought I'd be afterward.) And this whole time, my V4.5 has been on the screen alerting me that Kiwi had a boy! Poor tama!

My mouth still hurts, but I'm feeling better and I think I'm up for tama caretaking again... so I just named the baby ("Enoki") and so far he's doing well. I might reset the V4 later on this evening and get him a mushroom-named partner. ^_^

Tragedy Strikes

Kiwi and Fig had twin boys last night! Unfortunately, I had a lot of work today to get ready for my finals, and forgot to pause the tamas while I was out. When I finally remembered and checked on them, Kiwi and her son were okay (though ill and in desperate need of cleaning), but there was a winged egg on Fig's screen. :/ Fig and the second son are both gone.

I'm still deciding whether to re-set that tama after Kiwi leaves, or not...

Tamagotchi Plus Color

Have you heard about the Tamagotchi Plus Color? Pocket Pikachu 2 is no longer the only color virtual pet in the world. I find myself worrying that the screen won't be as bright as it looks in the picture; I have to remember that technology has come a long way since the original Gameboy Advance. ^_^;

In addition to having nice new graphics, the Tamagotchi Plus Color also allows your tama to go to different rooms and locations. There's even weather and some things, like a rainbow, that will add to your tama's happiness if s/he encounters them outside. How cute is that?

I love the simple, smooth, monochromatic shells, but I'd be willing to bet money that when they release them in the US they'll be covered in hideous painted designs. :/ I've looked them up on eBay, but all the ones I've found were around $80, so I guess I won't be getting one for a while.

Fig & Kiwi: Adults with Jobs!

I was woken up yesterday to the sound of transforming Tamas again: Fig is now a Togetchi and Kiwi is an Ura Furawatchi. As of today, they both have jobs as well: Fig got rejected from every job except hairdresser, and Kiwi got her second job choice as a baker.

I'm leaving home and going back to my apartment today, and this time, I'm definitely going to keep the tamas on pause to avoid letting them go to sleep with their own poo again. :(

Fig and Kiwi Surprise

I woke up yesterday morning to find that both Fig and Kiwi had grown again... but both had become "style" tamas! I'm so used to V4 and V4.5 being predictable that it kind of shocked me. ^_^; Fig is now a Gourmetchi and Kiwi is a Young Ura-Furawatchi.

I (stupidly) decided not to pause them for the drive back to my hometown, figuring they'd be okay. Unfortunately when I got home, I got so wrapped up in unpacking and eating dinner and talking to my parents that I forgot to check on the tamas! By the time I grabbed them out of my coat pocket, they'd already gone to bed, all hearts empty. :/ When I woke up this morning, they were both ill in addition to being hungry and unhappy. Poor little guys!

They're both fed and happy now and even got to visit each other and play soccer. And since I came home for Thanksgiving a day earlier than I usually do, we have all today to just sit around the house and relax!

Generation 1: Fig and Kiwi

I hatched my tamas today at 1:30 PM: The V4 is a male named Fig and the V4.5 is a girl named Kiwi. Both had normal, uneventful times as babies. Since I hatched them at the same time, they do everything nearly synchronized. It makes it much easier.

Fig grew into a Puchitchi and Kiwi became a Kuribotchi. Looks like they both took the intelligence path the first time around... Maybe I can get myself a Zukyutchi and Ura-Zukyutchi pair? ^_^

Starting Anew

I haven't written in this for a long while and my tamagotchi caretaking has been sporadic at best this fall. With the end of the semester coming up, I'll soon have more free time, and I want to start some tamas again. Tomorrow, I intend on resetting my V4 and V4.5 and starting again. :)
