ï Wednesday, October 24, 2007 - Glitch or New V4.5 Feature? - Part 2

It happened again to my V4.5.

Memoh, son of Jonna the Hanagatchi and a unknown Ura Mametchi, was officially named today.  Like Jonna, Memoh surprisingly had skill points in all three categories at birth.

He had 8 funny, 40 Gorgeous and 17 Spiritual at birth.

So far, the only common thing Memoh and Jonna have is that they both have one special adult as their parent.

1st generation:
Criss became a Hyottokotchi.

2nd generation: Jonna was born from a Hyottokotchi [Criss] and a Ura Zukyutchi.  Jonna had 41 Funny, 19 Gorgeous and 19 Spiritual at birth.  Jonna became a Hanagatchi.

3rd generation: Memoh was born from a Hanagatchi [Jonna] and a Ura Mametchi.  Memoh had 8 Funny, 40 Gorgeous, and 17 Spiritual at birth.

So far, notice that the highest skill inherited by the child is the highest skill of its parent?  In order to get a Hyottokotchi, you need at least 350 Funny.  As for a Hanagatchi, it needs to have 350 Gorgeous points.

Is this a new feature for V4.5?  I'm pretty certain that V4's Nonbiritchis, Makikos and Tensaitchis do not yield such results.  If it is true for V4.5, then it's certainly a nice reward for the caretakers who strive to get these special characters.  After all, it really takes a while.

ï Monday, October 29, 2007 - Skill points

Posted by acidiica
I've noticed with my V4.5 that the skill points that are passed down to a child are a small variation of the skill points the parent had had. For example, I had a Hanagatchi on one of mine, which had about 117 of the smiley (pardon I am not very good at remembering what they are called), 417 of the shiny, and another 140 of the fist. When the mother left its baby, the baby had skill points going 11, 41, and 14, respectively.
I ended up coming to the theory that the points just "lose" the last digit. At least, that is what I have come up with from my tamas. Just a thought! =p

Thanks for the info acidiica! I actually have 2 V4.5 adults with babies now that will soon leave. I'll compare these two with their babies then post the info here in Tama Philippines for everyone to know.
