ï Wednesday, March 19, 2008 - Tamagotchi in Mario Kart - Now Becoming Worldwide!

Slowly, the Tamagotchi franchise is invading the world once more! According to the mini-site in Namco located in http://www.bandainamcogames.co.jp/english/aa/mariokart2/, the famous Mario Kart Arcade GP will be getting a sequel to be released this March or April now worldwide depending on the country. It was released in Japanese arcades last year, but now it is getting an English version as well. There will be new tracks, characters and items in this sequel.  Look at the item graphic list above.  Do you see any familiar Tama-lovers? And Mametchi is one of the racers included in this wily bunch.  He looks pretty out of place compared to the other Nintendo characters, but what the heck, it's still our beloved Mametchi. If this comes out in the arcades here in the Philippines (We do have the Mario Kart GP 1 in some Timezone outlets), then most likely I'll take a crack at this game as well.
