Tamagotchi Philippines
ï Tuesday, July 22, 2008 - The Tamagotchi V5 Event in the Philippines (Part 3)

There is also a Tamagotchi Fan Art contest. Each walk-in contestant gets a piece of paper with a Tamagotchi scene drawing similar to the ones in coloring books. They now go to the tables set up inside the barricades to color them to their best of their abilities. Notice the "specially-designed" Tamagotchi crayon box.

Of course there were fun games on stage to keep the interest of the kids going prior to revealing the contest winners. This one I believe was the game where each kid had to perform their best dance movements while saying each syllable of the word "Tamagotchi." The audience would then judge which contestant gave the best performance.

This is the registration area for the Tamagotchi V5 Event as well as the Gundam Model Kit 2008 contest running alongside this Tamagotchi. Yes, we have lines!

Here are the V5 Tamagotchi Design Contest winners showcasing their winning designs to the crowd. I believe these are the fifth to tenth place winners that each got their goodie bags. Congratulations to all of them!

And of course, the meet and greet Mametchi delighted the kids even more. It was a bit amusing to see Mametchi struggling to get up the stairs to get to the stage. It was even more amusing to see the kids, who went up stage to pose with Mametchi, poking Mametchi's head over and over again. Mametchi's pretty soft I tell you (Don't ask how I know).
He had very limited movements. Most of the time, he kept on bouncing up and down like an eager child on stage.
The mascot's pretty big if you see it up close. You can use the person in the above photo for reference. |
