These are the first six designs of the long-awaited refresh of the Tamagotchi V5.  Personally, I like the Popcorn and Film and Hollywood Walk designs in this batch.  Officially called the Celebrity Familitchi, this other version of the V5 features 35 brand new characters including the Paparatchi and the Royal families.  There are also four new games and different items.  Also so far, the V5.5 comes with a DVD in its package.  This DVD is only playable on PCs and is different from the DVD found in the original Tamagotchi V5/Tamagotchi Familitchi. There have been rumors though that this batch of Tamagotchis would not be released in Europe.  If that is true, I just hope that it would not be the same here in the Asia/Oceania region. (update: someone from Bandai UK confirmed that it will be released in the USA and the Asia/Oceania region --- the Celebrity Tamagotchi watch is on!)
