Tamagotchi Philippines
ï 2008-Jul-27 - The Celebrity Cruise Ship Arrives!

This Tama & Earth Expo update really confirms that the Celebrity Familitchi (V5 refresh) is out in stores. Now, we just need to actually see one here in the Philippines!
Previously, this ship can only be found in the Japanese version of the Tama & Earth Expo when the Royal Famitama was released in Japan. But now, the English-speaking people of the world can now enjoy living the celebrity life aboard the cruise ship.
As of this writing, there are only two games available aboard the cruise ship (Go Kart and Cruising games). |

ï 2008-Apr-12 - Traffic Jam!

I decided to visit the Tama & Earth Expo for the first time since I got my V5s.
I got in fine and decided to go to the Asia/Oceania pavilion. I grabbed a "Which Character do you like best?" survey and answered it. When I tried to submit it, I was greeted by the screenshot you see above.
I just find it funny that there is a traffic jam when submitting a survey. Was there a race to finish a survey that happened during this time?
No worries though. It just means that there are a lot of visitors today, meaning that the Tamagotchi is alive and well around the world. |

ï 2007-Dec-3 - The JALTchi Makes an Appearance

Hey! The JALtchi makes an appearance in the Tama & Earth Expo created for the upcoming Famitchi / Connection V5.
If you don't know what a JALtchi is, it's one of the "characters" Bandai created in partnership with Japan Airlines to promote the upcoming Tamagotchi movie. You can read about it here. It is the Tamagotchi equivalent of JAL's airplanes much like this one.
The JALtchi is seen in the game inside the Travel Agency where you give various Tamagotchi Characters their luggage. It's found in the pop up screen above, flying around in the background outside the window, and flying around when you win the game. |

ï 2007-Nov-30 - Tamagotchi Survey in TamaExpo
Yes, you can participate in the survey without any Familitchi or Tamagotchi Connection V5!
Just visit the Tama & Earth EXPO website: http://famitama.com/pc/index_en.html

Bandai has recently updated the TamaEXPO site, the future home for the Tamagotchi Familitchi/Connection V5 with a survey found in the North American Pavilion or the Japanese Pavilion, Tamagotchi City Hall.
Here you can participate in a survey noting which Tamagotchi character (among 6) that you like best and which part of the world you are from. You can only answer the survey only once per open browser window.

As of 6:00 PM, today, here are the results of the survey.

Apparently, Mametchi still has a strong following in Japan. After all, like Pikachu of Pokemon fame, Mametchi headlines the Tamagotchi line. North America and Asia/Oceania seemingly like newer characters as Kuromametchi tops their charts. Europe apparently likes special characters, so Makiko tops their list.
I'm not sure what this survey is for, but I'm sure it's for the betterment of the Tamagotchi V5!

ï 2007-Nov-27 - Bookstore Game

Thanks to takatchi of Tamatalk, we can explore places of the Tama and Earth EXPO even without a Famitchi/Connection V5 yet.
He/she was able to find a password (00033 71000) that works in the Tama Expo website that lets you visit these new places.
One of the places that you can access once you have this password is the Bookstore located along the street of the Central Pavilion. Once in there, you have to cater to the customers by giving them the book that they are requesting. If you've fulfilled most or all of their request, you win a certain amount of Gotchi Points and are given a password that you can input into your Famitchi / Connection V5.
The V5 is nearing its worldwide release on January 2008, so watch out for it! |

ï 2007-Nov-26 - Stepping Stones - First Game in the EXPO
Don't you just love it when Bandai gives you sneak previews of their future products?

The Gotchi Amusement Park in the Tama & Earth EXPO is open to the public, even without a Familitchi / Connection V5. It currently has one game called Stepping Stones, a type of memory game where you guide Gozarutchis to the other side.

The stones separating your Gozarutchi to the other side flash randomly. You must memorize which stones flash in the correct order so that your Gozarutchi can safely reach the other side without falling into the water. One missed stone and your Gozarutchi is soaking wet (much like that yellow one in the upper right of the screenshot) |
